Dr. Hinson is board certified in Family Medicine and joined Raincross Medical Group in August of 2024. He is a graduate of Meharry Medical College in Nashville Tennessee CDU as a member of the Medicine and Society Faculty in August 2023. He earned his doctorate of medicine from Meharry Medical College and completed his Family Medicine residency training in Los Angeles at Charles Drew University where he was also selected to serve as Chief Resident.

Dr. Hinson grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota before cementing his interest in medicine while studying internationally in both France and Ghana. Prior to medical school he studied Chemistry and French at Hope College in Holland, MI where he conducted research on novel detection methods for carcinogens in groundwater. He has also conducted point-of-care ultrasound research at Loma Linda University and is published in multiple national peer-reviewed academic journals.

While Dr. Hinson maintains a focus on the science of medicine, it is the art of patient care that drives him. Between the assessment of developing children and the management of adults with hypertension, heart failure, diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid disease, kidney disease, asthma, and osteoarthritis, Dr. Hinson maintains a focus on prevention as well as cure. He is passionate about promoting health through preventive medicine and strives to develop treatment plans that match patients’ life goals. He remains engaged in community efforts to expand medical care to the diverse patient populations of the Inland Empire. He also works to advance medical education as a writer and voice-over artist for SKETCHY ™ Medical’s online video platform. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and is an avid DIYer.
