Daniel Solis, M.D.
Dr. Solis is board certified in Internal Medicine and joined Raincross Medical Group in September 2022. He earned his medical degree at Stanford University and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at University of California Riverside, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident.
He grew up in Southern California and became interested in medicine after going on a mission trip to learn about tropical medicine. Prior to medical school he studied Chemistry at Pomona College in Claremont and completed an honors thesis in organic chemistry. He has also conducted clinical cancer research at the National Institutes of Health and published in multiple national peer reviewed academic journals. His research has included basal cell skin cancer, pheochromocytoma, recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, and basal cell nevus syndrome, and uremia in patients with chronic kidney disease. He has received national awards and fellowships for his work, including the American Chemical Society Scholars Program Award and Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans.
The focus of his medical practice is primary care for adults with hypertension, heart failure, diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid disease, kidney disease, asthma, and osteoarthritis, among many other health conditions. He is passionate about promoting health through preventive medicine and strives to develop treatment plans that match patients’ life goals. He speaks Spanish fluently and is involved in community efforts to expand medical care to diverse patient populations in the Inland Empire. He works to advance medicine through clinical trials and teaching as assistant professor of medicine at Loma Linda University. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and is an avid hiker and runner.
